Redditch-based multi temperature supply chain specialist in
warehousing and logistics, Oakland International, is celebrating
after winning the Environmental Awards, Worcestershire at this
year's prestigious Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of
Commerce Awards held at the West Midland Safari Park.
Finalists in the Environmental Award and Excellence in People
Development Award, the firm said they were delighted to have won
against such strong competition. Oakland International's MD, Dean
Attwell, stated: "What fantastic news for the whole team. Winning
the Environmental Awards, Worcestershire, is positive recognition
of the hard work and commitment Oakland has made in reducing carbon
emissions throughout our supply chain operations and our work in
instilling a 'green' growth philosophy."
Oakland has introduced a number recycling schemes placing
continual focus on replacing energy rich systems with renewable
alternatives, with the firm wholly committed to installing and
utilising clean eco-friendly alternatives wherever possible. A
major local employer, Oakland has also invested heavily in the
company's Management Development Programme, aimed at identifying
managers and supervisors of the future to create a robust and
