The Birmingham office of national law firm Weightmans LLP has boosted the Tiny Babies', Big Appeal campaign with an impressive £5,000 donation.

Run by Birmingham Women's Hospital, the campaign aims to raise £2 million to build a brand new, state-of-the-art Neonatal Unit at the hospital.

Weightmans has shown its support for the campaign since it was launched in 2009 and associate Jasmine Armstrong has been drumming up interest from those working in the firm's Birmingham office.

"I was delighted the firm were keen to support the cause and the donation of £5,000 will go towards a play area within the new unit," she said.

Other colleagues went the extra mile and plunged headfirst into fundraising activities such as running the Birmingham Half Marathon and attending a Bollywood Night to boost collections.

"As a healthcare lawyer I work closely with a number of local Trusts, and I have heard much about the amazing - and often lifesaving - work that the neonatal unit of the Women's Hospital do. There are many worthy charities in the Midlands but I am particularly pleased that we can support Tiny Babies, and contribute in a small way to their nationally recognised neonatal care," Jasmine added.
