Birmingham accountancy firm, Reynolds and Co is calling on the new coalition government to announce positive cuts to support the growth of small businesses in next week's Budget Speech to the House of Commons.

The Bickenhill Lane accountancy and tax specialists believe small businesses in the region and across the UK need extra support to protect the future security and growth of businesses.

It believes the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, could introduce positive cuts to avoid the loss of any further small businesses.

Reynolds and Co argues the new coalition government could do this by removing the proposed increase in Employers National Insurance, which is due to come into force from April 6th 2011, introduce a fazed reduction in Corporation Tax by reducing rates by 1% a year over the next three-years and implement changes to the taxation of overseas company profits for UK International Groups, to put an end to any further loss of companies leaving the country due to the UK tax burden.

Nigel Reynolds, Founder and Principal of Reynolds and Co, said: "It is still a very testing and uncertain time for small businesses who have managed to survive 2009, now more than ever, small businesses need the help of the new coalition government.

"By supporting small businesses, the new government will ensure businesses can continue and grow in the UK - which will create new job opportunities and increase the UK economy."

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, will deliver his first 2010 Budget speech to the House of Commons on 22 June 2010.

Reynolds and Co specialise in accountancy (including Solicitors' Accounts Rules), taxation and business advisory services. This includes Management and Business Services, Business Start Up Support, Tax Management and Tax Returns Support, IT Support and Payroll and Booking Keeping Services.

The firm is also a member of the ACCA, the largest global body for professional accountants - with 140,000 members of the accredited body across the World.
