and promoted a further three associate partners in Birmingham.
The new partners include Simon Adcock, who provides professional
advice to underperforming and financially distressed businesses;
Andrew Brook, who specialises in corporate tax; and Jonathan
Dodworth, who leads Deloitte's real estate audit practice.
Bill Hall, a local government consultant; Ashley Hollinshead, a
tax adviser to property companies; and Andrew Mewis, who heads
Deloitte's pensions team in the Midlands, have been made associate

In addition, Gary Cardin, of Drivers Jonas Deloitte, who joined
the firm following the merger between Deloitte and property
consultancy Drivers Jonas, has also been made an associate
partner.
The promotions take the total number of partners and associate
partners at Deloitte in Birmingham to 33.
Chris Loughran, who was recently appointed senior partner in
Birmingham, said: "It gives me great pleasure to announce these
promotions, which are both a recognition of what colleagues have
achieved to date in their respective fields and, more importantly,
a statement of confidence in them to contribute further to
Deloitte's growth and development in the Midlands."
As if to emphasise further Deloitte's sustained impact in the
professional services market, the firm's Tax Depreciation team, led
by new partner Andrew Brook, won the 'Best 'Big Four' Tax Team'
award at the recent LexisNexis Taxation awards.
The Tax Depreciation team helps businesses understand, manage
and optimise their claims for tax relief in respect of expenditure
on property and other assets.
The LexisNexis Taxation awards are the UK's largest tax awards
and have been running for 11 years. They are judged by experts from
the tax, accountancy and legal professions, and recognise
organisations and individuals from both the professional services
sector and industry, for their outstanding contributions to the
field of taxation.
