More than £3.6 million of property is to be offered for
sale at auction next month as part of heb's 30 lot sale to be held
in Nottingham.
A former children's nursery in Bestwood is to go under the
hammer and is expected to fetch in the region of
£200,000.
The 4,854 sq ft site in Southglade Road, Bestwood will be
auctioned at the next heb auction on 13 July at Nottingham Belfry
Hotel.
Auctioneer Matt Hilton, partner at heb, confirmed in addition to
the 15 commercial lots, on offer are a number of residential
properties including a portfolio of nine vacant houses all in need
of repair and modernisation offering excellent opportunities to add
value.
Also under the hammer is a vacant shop and self contained flat
in Radford Road, Nottingham which is expected to fetch more than
£125,000.
Other properties are 1 Ash Crescent, a property including shop,
living accommodation and separate buildings which has planning
consent to develop into six residential units. The lot has a guide
price of £150,000 to £175,000.
Heb is also selling 148 Alfreton Road, Nottingham - a part
residential, part retail investment property with a guide price of
around £125,000; a part let three story investment property
in Mansfield, and The Gallery, in Nottingham Road, Eastwood - a
part refurbished property suitable for a number of uses with a
guide price of £150,000.
Matt said: "Once again, we have a real mixed bag of properties
for auction, from pubs to houses and investment opportunities.
"The popularity of auctions is increasing. Auction results have
continued to grow for the last 18 months or so. Buyers understand
that properties being brought to the market for sale by auction,
are likely to be well priced, and therefore potentially
attractive.
"It seems to be accepted that values will not fall any further,
and the fact that the larger building societies have been reporting
growth has had a positive effect on both the number sold but also
the values achieved."
The heb auction will take place on 13 July 2010 at Nottingham
Belfry Hotel, Mellors Way, Nottingham at 2.30pm.
