Food sector and pharmaceuticals specialist Chalcroft
Construction is once again assisting leading healthcare company
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
Chalcroft, which specialises in cold stores, warehousing and
distribution, has been contracted to carry out substructure and
superstructure works for a new bottle manufacturing plant at GSK's
Coleford site in Gloucestershire.
Scott Wilson, a director at Pershore-based Chalcroft, commented:
"GSK demands the highest standards from its suppliers and we are
delighted that once again it has chosen Chalcroft to carry out the
works at Coleford."
Chalcroft, which offers its clients a director-led approach,
first started work with GSK in 2004 when it was contracted to build
a new three-bay trailer area within the finished goods
warehouse.
It has subsequently won a number of other projects, following
competitive tendering exercises by GSK, including a new high-bay
warehouse, a new lorry park, the creation of a materials handling
area and a micro-biology laboratory.
Paul Chapman, from GSK, commented: "GSK is very pleased with the
work that Chalcroft has carried out on site over a number of years.
We need to have building contractors who understand the
requirements of facilities like ours and Chalcroft has consistently
delivered."
