Derby-based chartered accountants and business advisors, Smith
Cooper, have announced that they have extended their sponsorship
deal with Derbyshire County Cricket Club for the 2010 season.
The firm has supported the Club for a number of years and its
sponsorship deal will continue this season with the Smith Cooper
logo taking pride of place on a 12 metre sign along the balcony of
the Gateway Centre.
Advertisements for the firm will also appear in the match day
programme, as well as on the Club's website, whilst representatives
from the firm will also attend Club functions, including the
popular Boundary Club luncheons and the annual end of season Player
of the Year Awards Evening.
Commenting on the partnership between the two organisations,
Stuart Peck, partner at Smith Cooper, said: "We have supported
Derbyshire County Cricket Club for a number of years now and are
delighted that we are able to extend our support for what promises
to be a very exciting season for John Morris and his team."
Keith Loring, chief executive of Derbyshire County Cricket Club
added: "We would like to thank Smith Cooper for their
continued support this season. For the firm to extend its
sponsorship deal for another year reflects the tremendous
relationship we have with the local business community.
"As the club continues to develop our facilities support like
this is invaluable."
