Restaurant supervisor role for Monika at Masa Derby

Masa Restaurant on Brook Street in Derby has strengthened its front of house team with the appointment of Monika Zurawska at Restaurant Supervisor.

Monika, who has a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and Catering Industry, has previously worked at the Michelin-starred Holbeck Ghyll Hotel in Windermere and the three AA rosetted St Martin's on the Isle on the Isles of Scilly. She will be responsible for managing all front of house activity and supervising Masa's waiting team to ensure that they offer the highest levels of customer care.

She will also work closely with Masa's owner Paula Dalkic to organise corporate functions and will handle everything from the initial enquiry, to helping select the menu and ensuring the smooth running of each event a on the day.

"We are delighted to appoint Monika as Restaurant Supervisor. She has an excellent background delivering high levels of customer care, together with good understanding of everything from tourism though to managing corporate functions. As a result, she has already proved popular with our customers," said Paula.

"Masa has a fantastic reputation and has won awards for both for the quality of its service and its food, so I'm thrilled to have been appointed as Restaurant Supervisor," added Monika.

Masa Restaurant and Wine Bar is a fine dining restaurant set in a beautifully converted chapel on Brook Street in Derby. It has established a reputation for offering an extensive and sumptuous menu, backed by the highest standards of quality and service - all in an elegant and ambient setting. As a result, it received two AA rosettes as well a bronze award at the 2008 Midlands Enjoy England Excellence Awards.

The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Friday from 12 until 2.30pm then for evening service and all day on Sunday. Customers can choose from either the a la carte or set menus (Wednesday to Friday only). It can seat up to 70 guests in the galleried restaurant and 100 guests in the downstairs bar, making it the perfect venue for civil services, wedding receptions and corporate events.
