The Institute of Applied Entrepreneurship (IAE) is em'bark'ing
on a new venture called Operation Husky.
Operation Husky takes place on 2 June and will see 15
specifically selected young entrepreneurs at Coventry University
get together for a solid 24 hour business acceleration event.
It is the brainchild of Tom Williamson from IAE. He said: "The
young entrepreneurs will have time to work on part of their
business that has been neglected or put on hold. They will also be
able to develop new businesses, products, markets and relationships
and every three hours throughout the non-stop 24 hour event, a
guest speaker will come to help, inspire and inform them."
This is the first time something like this has been organised
and IAE hopes that it will prove to be so successful that it could
become a regular event.
The name Operation Husky was chosen as huskies become stronger
during the harsher winter climate.
Tom Williamson added: "Huskies are strong and work well
alone or as part of a pack. They are an active, energetic, and
resilient breed and that is what you need to be to succeed in
business these days. I am hoping our young entrepreneurs will get a
lot out of this and not only help them to focus but get some new
ideas to promote their businesses."
Operation Husky takes place at the Institute for Creative
Enterprises (ICE) on the University Technology Park and starts at
2pm on Wednesday 2 June and ends at 2pm on Thursday 3 June.
