Nottingham based RH Freight has launched its most ambitious
recruitment drive to date, as part of its long term strategy to
boost sales, improve customer service and drive long term
profitability.
The "Million Pound Branch Project" will help the UK's largest
independent European freight operator increase the sales and
customer service capabilities of all its 14 local sales offices
across the UK. This development programme is the biggest investment
the freight operator has made in its customer relationship function
in a bid to become even more successful in the future.
The project sees RH increasing the number of Freight Account
Managers to 140 (from its current level of 100) over the next two
years to drive the business forward despite tough economic
conditions for the freight industry as a whole.
A key part of the local branch operation Freight Account
Managers (FAMs) are at the heart of the customer relationship both
sourcing new business and managing existing accounts. Uniquely,
RH's FAM's provide their customers with a single point of contact
for all contact with the company.
This investment will enable RH to meet two of its core values by
providing the highest level of customer service and building
sustainable long term relationships with its customers.
Ian Baxter, Managing Director at RH Freight, said, "Although the
freight industry is still suffering, the market is set to become
ever more competitive in the future. We are absolutely determined
to provide the highest level of service for a reasonable price and
want to focus on building long term relationships with customers
for our mutual benefit. By investing in our branch network we will
be able to provide a higher level of customer service, and we
recognise this as key to growth in the future."
Celebrating its 40th birthday in 2011, RH continues to evolve
and develop. Its European daily services offer has now grown to 33
destinations from hubs in Nottingham and Thurrock enabling it to
offer greater reliability than many in the market.
