Shropshire chartered surveyors Berrys has appointed Nick
Williams, a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute to further
expand its planning and development services throughout the
region.
Nick, 26, joins as a planning practitioner based at
Shrewsbury Business Park to work in the planning team alongside
Stephen Locke, Peter Fenwick and Mandy Seedhouse.
"The demand for planning services continues to increase and
Nick's appointment will help us provide the specialist expertise
required in this demanding sector," said Chris Jones, partner at
Berrys' Shrewsbury office.
"This new appointment comes just a few months after well known
Shropshire town planner Peter Fenwick joined our planning team and
we now have one of the strongest planning teams in the county.
"Planning policy is becoming increasingly more complex and we
believe that planning and development work is best conduced by
dedicated and experienced practitioners trained in the sector and
our team is already getting good results."
Nick Williams joins Berrys from a national environmental and
engineering consultancy based in Shrewsbury where he dealt with a
wide range of planning projects for local government and private
sector clients. Prior to that he gained an honours degree from
Exeter University.
Stephen Locke, lead planner for Berrys at Shrewsbury said he was
delighted to welcome Nick to the team: "With the increased volume
of demand for rural, urban and commercial planning we now have an
experienced team to deal with all aspects of planning and
development.
"It is an exciting time for the planning team and this

requirements," he added.
Nick will be working with private and corporate clients such as
accountants, solicitors and developers and as well as preparing
plans he will be attending planning enquiries, advising on
enforcement issues and responding to consultations on behalf of
landowners and developers.
