A new out-of-hours GP clinic is to open in Shropshire on May 15th to accommodate the needs of busy people in the county who struggle to make appointments that fit into a hectic work schedule with their own GP.

Appointments at the clinic, which is based at The Dental Spa on Oxon Business Park, Shrewsbury, will be available on Saturday mornings. As well as providing general consultations the private GP service will also offer Health Checks.

Resident GP at the clinic is Dr Huw Glover. Dr Glover has been in General Practice for almost eighteen years in a practice which is also a training and a teaching practice of the University of Birmingham. He is a Member of the British Medical Association, the Royal College of General Practitioners and the British Medical Acupuncture Society, as well as being a Trainer and current Appraiser for the University.

Speaking about the new GP Clinic Deb Price, Practice Manager at The Dental Spa, said: "Last year we extended the opening hours of both The Dental Spa and The Skin Clinic and were surprised to learn just how much difference it made to the lives of working patients, especially those who have to travel away from the area during the working week. It was as a direct result of feedback from them that we decided to open a Saturday morning GP Clinic."
