The Wolverhampton office of chartered accountants Haines Watts has been joined by a new consultant as part of a programme to increase its share of the market in small and medium-sized businesses.

Ian Woodward, who was previously at a top ten accountancy firm, specialises in supporting new business start-ups, small limited companies and partnerships.  He is particularly experienced in producing business plans, cash flow forecasts, management accounts, payroll, tax planning and VAT returns.

"Wolverhampton and the Black Country are dependent on small and medium-sized businesses which have very specific needs," said Mr Woodward.

"With Britain hopefully emerging successfully from recession, many small business owners are looking for an experienced pair of business and accounting hands together with the support of a large national practice.

"I am delighted to join Haines Watts - which is a natural fit for my expertise and experience," said Mr Woodward who graduated from the University of Sunderland in 1998 with a degree in accounting and business studies and qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2001.

Mr Woodward lives in Halesowen.

The Wolverhampton office of Haines Watts was established in 1986.
