Nottingham-based Solicitors Fraser Brown has handled the sale of
the long-established Byron Veterinary Clinic to neighbouring
practice Ashfield House Veterinary Hospital.
The family-run Byron Veterinary Clinic, which has premises on
Nuthall Road in Nottingham and Derby Road in Long Eaton, was
established over 100 years ago and, upon moving to new premises in
1992, became the first purpose built private veterinary practice in
the city. Its sale to Ashfield House was agreed at Christmas after
the owners, Anne and Dennis Jones, decided to retire.
Patrick Wood, Commercial Property Partner and Gavin White,
Corporate and Commercial Law Partner at Fraser Brown, advised on
the deal, which completed very quickly in around four weeks.
Patrick said, "Between us, Gavin and I handled the sale of the
business and the letting of the buildings, which have been leased
under a separate agreement to Ashfield House. We were set an
ambitious timescale taking into account the different aspects of
the deal that had to be completed but we were pleased to be able to
help the sale go smoothly."
Dennis Jones, from Byron Veterinary Clinic, added, "Patrick
Wood's father advised us when we purchased the premises so it
seemed fitting that we turned to Patrick when we wanted to
sell.
"The whole process was handled incredibly efficiently and the
team at Fraser Brown were able to advise us on all aspects of the
sale to ensure that a deal was struck that all parties were happy
with."
Mark Beaney from Hazelwood Accountants also advised on the sale.
Stephen Warner from Mclaren Warner solicitors acted on behalf of
Ashfield House Veterinary Hospital.
