Midlands law firm Challinors marked the latest step in its
programme of innovation for value-added services for clients with
the launch of its all-new Business Support Unit at Birmingham's
Opus Restaurant last week.
The firm's partners and lawyers were joined by representatives
from across the region's professional and commercial communities at
the event, at which Challinors' Business Support Unit head, Malford
Harris set-out details of the new BSU or 'Business Bridge' service,
which launches by offering clients a free one-hour legal
review:
"It is vital for local small businesses and their owners or
managers to be sure of benefiting from the maximum service from
their law firm," explained Malford Harris. "The new BSU is designed
to deliver this, by putting the focus on our clients and their
business, and maximising the potential of the client relationship
by assigning a dedicated client relationship manager to them, who
is tasked with understanding their business.
"In this way, Challinors can focus the services the firm
provides exactly to what the client wants and their business needs.
It is all about building a connection between clients and
Challinors - and this can be done via our new business bridge.
"Clients can assess the value to them of the BSU with an initial
one-hour legal review, that is completely free of charge, in which
our team will study and discuss any aspect of the client's
business, whether it be employment contracts or a property-related
matter."
Challinors believes the BSU is ideal for SME's, private and
public sector corporate clients, which will deliver direct access
to the firm's range of legal services for businesses. The core
members of Challinors BSU are Malford Harris, a Partner and head of
the firm's corporate team, Peter Lowe, partner in charge of the
litigation/dispute resolution team, and Simon Bond, specialist
employment lawyer and head of that team.
