FarmGem, the Southwell, East Midlands based sprayer specialist, will be exhibiting a range of trailed and mounted sprayers including the launch of a new Diamond 2500 litre 12-20-24 metre trailed sprayer, a Fast-Trac 2000 litre 12-20-24 metre demount machine and a small vertical folding boom sprayer.

With prices starting from £28,000 for the Diamond 2500 litre with standard features and the Fast-Trac from £28,000, FarmGem believe they have combined quality design and manufacturing with highly competitive pricing.

"Since launching our machines at LAMMA earlier in the year the response for our sprayers has been tremendous. Many customers  are GEM sprayer owners replacing their machines which shows the degree of loyality to the brand and to proven quality of the product. As a result we see a very bright future ahead," said Terry Fixter.

While the manufacturing will hail from Hungary, and in the case of a new smaller vertical folding boom sprayer to be launched at Cereals from Slovenia, the engineering design and influence comes from shareholders Brian Knight of Knight Farm Machinery, Gem Sprayers founder Mike Would and Terry Fixter the former production director for Gem.

The mid-range mounted and trailed sprayers have capacities of 200 to 4,000 litres with booms spanning from 2m to 28m, and are aimed at agricultural, horticultural and leisure industry users. Hungarian manufacturer Farmgep first came under the spotlight when it started producing sprayers for the Case IH Gem set-up, which it has continued to build and sell under its own name, and is now one of the leading suppliers in its home market.

As Brian Knight explains, "setting up FarmGem was an obvious next step in the long working relationship that Mike and Terry have with Farmgep."

FarmGem director Mike Would adds, "the design knowledge and experience that Brian Knight and myself together with Farmgep's manufacturing capability combine to make what we believe is already emerging as a winning formula to supply a good product range at the right price."

"We have established that there is a growing demand for quality, competitively priced sprayers of these capacities in the UK and in Europe and we are well advanced in setting up dealer networks to handle sales," says Terry Fixter.
