After a two-year absence, financial services have returned to
Derby city centre, after two firms of independent advisers merged
to launch the only high street mortgage and independent financial
services company.
The Mayor, Councillor Sean Marshall, and local businesses turned
out in force to celebrate the launch of Avisa Financial Services,
on Queen Street.
At the event, guests got to look around the newly refurbished
shop and office, formerly the Tregoning Gallery, and were treated
to wine tasting courtesy of Red Zebra and nibbles from the
award-winning Jack Rabbits.
Sarah Fullaway and Lee Mortimer from Pride Financial Services
and Matt Simpson from GM Financial, who between them have more than
35 years' industry experience, have joined forces to form
Avisa.
Avisa is the only firm of financial advisers in the city to have
a high street presence and will provide a range of independent
financial services, including mortgage, life insurance, income
protection, critical illness cover and home insurance.
The company has also launched, Business AVISA, a separate
division that will specialise in commercial finance, key man cover,
shareholder protection, business loan protection and business
insurance.
The three directors, who have experience of working within large
financial service companies and as self-employed independent
financial advisers, share the same commitment to customer care.
Their philosophy is to make financial services less complicated and
provide independent advice that is tailored to the needs of each
individual customer.
Commenting on the opening of their new business, Sarah Fullaway
said: "We are delighted to be bringing mortgage and
independent financial services back to Derby's high street, and
would like to thank everyone who attended the opening and supported
us.
"We look forward to welcoming both new and existing clients to
our new premises. Our vision is to provide people in and around
Derby with the advice that suits them. We want to develop personal
relationships with our customers and provide them with the best
advice and deals to suit meet their needs," added Sarah.
