A Shropshire family with more than 30 years experience in the caravan industry have joined forces to set up their own business in the county.

David Middleton and his brother Lee have gone into partnership together to start up a new touring caravan dealership in Craven Arms.

South Shropshire Caravans will open its doors to the public on May 28 and the brothers are looking forward to welcoming their first customers.

After semi-retiring from Shrewsbury-based Salop Leisure 18 months ago as Touring Sale Director, David decided to use his skills in a new business venture.

He said: "Our aim is to give past and future customers great service, personnel attention, great value and quality care.

"We are really looking forward to opening our doors and expect to welcome customers who already know and have worked with us before and, of course, new faces.

"Lee and I have over 30 years of experience in the caravan industry between us and are ready for this new challenge.

"We will be selling high-quality pre-owned caravans ranging from starter caravans to nearly new and we have an all-weather caravan, awning and accessories showroom."
