All female team takes victory at the RTPI Young Planners Quiz in the Midlands

A five strong, all female team from GVA Grimley has ran away with the trophy in the annual West Midlands Royal Town Planning Institute's Young Planners Quiz.

12 teams from both the public and private sector took part in the event, which was held at Bushwackers on Edmund Street in Birmingham city centre. The victorious team from GVA Grimley comprised five colleagues from the firm's Planning Development and Regeneration team, who achieved an impressive 11 point victory margin. The team members were Laura Smith, Gemma Field, Kimberley Jeakings, Laura Kennedy and Catherine Mumby.

Laura Smith, graduate planner at GVA Grimley's Birmingham office comments: "The RTPI Young Planners Quiz is great for team bonding, networking with our peers and certainly brings out everyone's competitive spirit! We didn't prepare a game plan, or come up with creative team tactics, but we do all work really well together on a whole variety of client assignments and that - combined with a bit of winners' luck - paid off for us on the night."

The quiz evening was organised by 'YP West Mids'; the RTPI's West Midlands young planners group.
