Half-year financial results released by Purity Brewing Co. show
the independent Warwickshire real ale brewery is on target for a
record-breaking year that will top last year's out-standing
figures.
Purity, located near Alcester, is on course to sell the
equivalent of 2.2 million pints and achieve a turnover of
£2.1 million its 2009/10 financial year. The half-year
results also show that Purity is already 61% up on sales against
the previous financial year.
The announcement of these half-year results shows the company
has significantly built on the success achieved in its last full
financial year (2008/09), during which time it sold the equivalent
of 1.4m pints and turned over £1.37m.

Purity produces three award-winning ales, Mad Goose, Pure UBU
and Pure Gold, which are today sold in approximately 400 on-trade
and off-trade premises in the Midlands, London and south east, and
East Anglia.
Paul Halsey, Purity's Managing Director, said: "I'm absolutely
delighted with these amazing half-year results. I'm confident that
we have the momentum to continue to grow and move strongly through
the rest of the year.
"Our success is attributed to a number of factors, including new
contracts with the likes of Mitchells & Butlers, Punch Taverns,
Adnams, which were signed last year but have come into effect this
year. We've also benefited from increased penetration into the
local free trade market.
"Purity is also recognised as a premium brand, which has a broad
appeal amongst women, younger men, as well as the traditional ales
drinkers."
