Shropshire based firm The Business Company announces success of collaborative services

One of the county's best known business improvement consultancies has announced the success of a collaborative services initiative launched last year which saw it working with other professionals in the area to deliver a wider range of complimentary business services to clients, both across the region and further afield.

The Business Company, based just outside Shrewsbury, developed the initiative after recognising a gap in the market for a more rounded package of innovative and practical solutions that would help drive businesses forward and take them either to the next stage of development or prepare them for sale or exit.

Speaking about the collaborative services initiative Ellen Morley, Principal of The Business Company, said: "In an increasingly challenging economic environment, visionary businesses and organisations in the public and private sector who are looking to move forward can benefit enormously from working with a group of different professionals who are each able to bring their own specialist area of expertise to the table and collaborate on improvement and growth strategies."

"Whether it is managing people more effectively to enhance performance, developing new systems and processes to increase output or restructuring finances to facilitate growth, harnessing a holistic approach to the solutions is by far the most cost-effective way for the client. And for professionals such as ourselves, by collaborating with other professionals who offer complimentary services to a similar client base, we are collectively able to provide an enhanced service that goes way and beyond that of our competitors."

"One recent example was when we collaborated with a local college to provide a customer service training solution for a national housing maintenance company. The Business Company carried out an in-depth analysis of the business operation and developed a unique accredited training programme which was then delivered by the college and project managed/quality assured by The Business Company."

"Another typical area of cross-fertilisation is where we work with accountants to develop business strategies for growth or profit improvement. The Business Company handles a wide range of business issues including skills development, marketing, sales growth and business efficiency, which compliment the role of the accountant and ultimately lead to maximum financial efficiency and improved business performance."
