An event showcasing investment opportunities in Lincolnshire has
been heralded a huge success.
The Lincolnshire Property & Business Investment Show - the
first of its kind to be staged in the county - provided a shop
window for professional service providers looking to meet
potential property and business investors.
Forty-four exhibitors and 470 delegates attended the event,
sponsored by Invest Lincolnshire, which took place at the EPIC
Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground last week (14th April
2010).
"It's been fantastic. It's certainly been worthwhile and a great
chance to catch up with old friends and acquaintances," said
Alex Ramowski of cartographers Clarke Ltd in Nottingham.
"It shows people that we're still here and in business and I've
also made two or three new contacts which could be really
useful for us over the next year or so.
"It's easier to come here and meet two or three new clients than
it is to spend a week sending out mailshots!"
Delegates who attended the event included professional service
providers, intermediaries and business and land owners.
Investors and developers also attended from all over the East
Midlands and there was strong representation from South
Yorkshire and London.
"We have had some great feedback and have already had booking
confirmation for next year's show, which takes place on 13th
April 2011," said event organiser Martin Freeman.
"There was a real buzz about the event and I think the response
has been fantastic. We've already had requests for space in
2011; the show was a huge success."
The format of the event was based on the highly successful
November East Midlands Show which has been held in Nottingham
for the past ten years.
As well as a trade exhibition the show featured a seminar on
Lincolnshire - The Past, Present and Future and a specialist
tax seminar organised by Streets.
