Lincoln-based Allen Signs is on course to help local charity
Kesteven Children in Need raise thousands of pounds by
sponsoring the signage at the KCiN Am-Am Golf Day at Blankney
Golf Club.
This year marks Allen Signs 45th anniversary and as part of
their celebrations the signmaker and engraver has entered a
team of four into the event on Friday 7th May and is
sponsoring the production of the signs for each of the 18
holes.
As well as being invited to enter a team, local businesses have
been asked to sponsor a hole and the signs, produced by Allen
Signs, will carry the sponsor's logo.
Besides helping to raise money for charity, golfers will also
have the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes for
achievements such as the longest drive and nearest the
pin.
First prize for the winning team is a day at Market Rasen Races
for 12 people in a private hospitality box donated by Jockey
Club Racecourses. So far 37 teams have entered the charity
golf day but there's still room for a few more.
Established in 1968, Kesteven Children In Need provides much
needed support and funding for local needy families. Treasurer
Mrs Alex Howard said: "We are extremely grateful to everyone
who has already entered a team, sponsored a hole or donated a
prize. This is the first year Allen Signs has been involved
with the competition and we really appreciate their
generosity.
"Last year we managed to raise £5,000 and this year we are
hoping to at least match that total and if we're lucky raise
even more!"
There is still time for businesses to get involved with the
event either by entering a team, which costs £160 and
includes a bacon sandwich and a hot meal, or by sponsoring a
hole or both!
