In the run-up to the General Election and a potential change in
government and in the wake of numerous legal reforms for
businesses, Midlands law firm Challinors is giving public and
private sector businesses and organisations their first chance to
get up close and personal with its new team dedicated to corporate
clients, at the latest in the firm's face-to-face events.
Local businesses, SMEs, authorities and commercial organisations
are being invited to discover the operational benefits to them of
Challinors' newly-created Business Support Unit (BSU), which has
been launched to provide a 'bridge' to the firms corporate legal
expertise and resource, and marshal the firm's legal skills for the
benefit of clients.
Challinors Development Director Phil Bloxham explains: "Although
recent legal reforms for businesses, particularly in the SME arena,
have been designed to make companies' significant financial savings
- in excess of a quarter of a billion pounds annually according to
latest figures released by the government - the procedural
implications remain significant. Whilst fulfilling legal
obligations may now in fact be less expensive, it is not
necessarily any less complex than it was under the previous
legislative processes.
"Challinors has created the new BSU to help businesses cross the
bridge to the most appropriate legal skills for them and their
organisation, and at a competitive rate.
"The BSU draws together our experienced commercial and corporate
specialists, and clients can access this resource via a dedicated
client manager who will first familiarise themselves with the
client's business and then call upon the relevant specialist from
other divisions of the firm to apply the right knowledge to each
and every client.
"Through this simple bridge approach, clients receive focused
legal advice, supported by sustained personal familiarity and
advice from the firm's business solicitors. Challinors' emphasis is
on providing a one-stop service for all business-related legal
issues."
The launch of the BSU will feature the team's senior members -
Malford Harris, a Partner and head of the firm's corporate team,
Peter Lowe, partner in charge of the litigation/dispute resolution
team, and Simon Bond, specialist employment lawyer and head of that
team - who will explain how, and why, Challinors has created the
new team and changed the way it works with corporate clients to
deliver direct access to the firm's range of legal services for
businesses.
The BSU Business Bridge launch event takes place at Opus
Restaurant, Birmingham, on Thursday 29th April 2010. For more
