Midlands truck dealer the Hartshorne Group is celebrating after
a successful Commercial Vehicle Operator Show at the NEC.
And Hartshorne has good cause for celebration. Before the show
Hartshorne clinched a deal with retailer Poundland for 32 vehicles,
including 12 new Volvo FL 18 ton distribution vehicles. One of
these vehicles, in bright new Poundland livery, was put on display
at the show.
Hartshorne, with its main bases in Walsall and Burton-on-Trent,
showed off the new FL distribution vehicle on its show stand, as
well as demonstrating its Total Transport Solutions range of
services to all-makes commercial vehicle operators.
The show was the biggest of its kind in the UK and attracted
thousands of visitors, including many from overseas. There were
more than 300 exhibitors, and the showcase event generated millions
of pounds worth of business.
Hartshorne's head of marketing, Alan Southall said the event had
been very successful for the company.
"Our stand in Hall 5 was in a very prominent position and it was
never empty for the three days of the show. We generated many sales
leads which we are now busy following up. Coming hard on the heels
of the Poundland deal we certainly had something to celebrate," he
said.
Hartshorne is now preparing for the Oswestry Truck Show next
month.
The family-owned Hartshorne Group is the Volvo Trucks agent for
the Midlands, with 11 depots across central England. The company
also distributes Hino Trucks throughout the region.
Hartshorne's also supplies parts and maintenance, hydraulic
parts, trailers and trailer maintenance, repair and body shop
facilities and driver training.
