Tournament
Solicitors at Midlands law firm Challinors are throwing down the
gauntlet to clients and fellow professionals across Birmingham and
the West Midlands to pick up their stumps and don their whites for
this year's Indoor Cricket Tournament.
The tournament takes place on Thursday 1st July at the
Warwickshire County Cricket Club Indoor Centre, Birmingham with
fundraising from the event donated to The Lord's Taverners, the
official Charity for recreational cricket and the UK's leading
youth cricket and disability sports Charity.
Challinors' Andrew Thomson, a solicitor in the firm's Dispute
Resolution Group, is organising the firm's 2010 Indoor Cricket
Tournament. He explains:
"This is the fourth time we have held the tournament with the
current trophy holders being The West Bromwich Building Society.
The Tournament is played with teams of six individuals, with 10
teams taking part, and entry is £150 per team. This year we
have made the decision to donate £50 from each entry to The
Lord's Taverners, as part of its West Midlands' regional
committee's fundraising activities for 2010. The Lord's Taverners
is the official charity of recreational cricket and a very
worthwhile cause so it was an easy decision to make."
Play starts at 1pm, with 'stumps' at approximately 7pm followed
by a presentation to the winning team.
