Browne Jacobson has achieved a major recognition for the quality
of its legal service by The Law Society.
The firm has been awarded the Lexcel quality mark which is only
awarded to legal firms who meet the highest management and customer
care standards.
To receive the Lexcel accreditation, the firm had to undergo a
rigorous assessment process over many months to ensure they met the
exacting standards in areas such as client care, case management
and risk management.
Currently only 6% of all UK law firms have Lexcel accreditation.
The award comes less than a month after the firm was presented with
the Quality Assured Standard for its approach towards enhancing
workplace diversity from DiverCity UK, a national organisation
which promotes and supports diversity. The firm has also been
recognised as 'Investors in People' since 2001.
Iain Blatherwick, Managing Partner at Browne Jacobson,
said: "Reaching the Law Society's Lexcel standard is a
prestigious achievement for any practice. Lexcel is highly regarded
by clients, fellow professionals and by the regulatory authorities
and we are delighted to have achieved the standard.
"We have always striven to provide the very best professional
legal service to our clients and receiving the accreditation is a
ringing endorsement that the firm embraces the highest standards of
practice at every level.
"Our ongoing commitment to quality and service, through the
Lexcel standard will give our clients that extra peace of mind and
assurance that we are a well managed firm, committed to delivering
the highest standards of client care."
Robert Heslett, President of the Law Society of England and
Wales, commented: "Browne Jacobson's achievement of gaining
Lexcel accreditation proves a commitment to the continual
development of the practice's management standards.
"By implementing policies, plans, processes and procedures
within Lexcel's key areas, such as client service and risk
management, Browne Jacobson LLP will become even more effective in
managing their practice.
"In addition, this achievement shows the positive steps taken by
the firm to help clients in the increasingly diverse, complicated
and competitive legal market."
