Marathon running company boss Nathan Walton has gone the extra
mile to help Stoke City manager Tony Pulis climb Mount
Kilimanjaro.
Nathan of JSW Insurance Services handed cheques totalling
£400 to help the climb in aid of the Donna Louise children's
hospice. Pulis is attempting the climb in May with.a team including
comedian Nick Hancock and Martin Spinks, Stoke City reporter at The
Sentinel newspaper, Stoke-on-Trent.
JSW Insurance Services, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire,
regularly raises money for the hospice and Nathan recently raised
£2,000 by running the Brighton Marathon.
He said: "The local children's hospice is our charity of choice
at JSW so when we heard about the Kilimanjaro climb we wanted to
help.
"We were able to collect £200 each for Tony and Martin
Spinks.
"The Donna Louise Hospice makes a great difference to the lives
of terminally ill children in Staffordshire but relies on donations
for 90 per cent of its funding.
"JSW was delighted to be able to raise more than £5,000 to
help the hospice in 2009."
