The Finance & Administration team of the Inchcape motor
retail group, which operates Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham, proved
themselves to have a head for figures after they received a coveted
Mercedes-Benz Retailer of the Year award.
Held annually, the awards cover 15 different categories and
commend excellence across all elements of Mercedes-Benz retailer
business. Inchcape won the Excellence in Finance &
Administration award at the prestigious ceremony, which was held at
Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands and hosted by television presenter
and motoring celebrity Vicki Butler-Henderson.
The accolade is a fitting reflection of the hard work that the
team undertake to ensure best practice and the awards referenced
the reasons why the Inchcape Finance & Administration
department had been chosen as the best of the best. Their
consistently high performance and their ability to use business
club reports and other pro-active tools to identify new
opportunities and drive improvements across the business were all
cited as reasons for the team's success.
John Fenn, Franchise Financial Controller for Inchcape's
Mercedes-Benz division, accepted the award and was full of praise
for his colleagues.
"It's fantastic that the team's efforts have been officially
recognised and we're all immensely proud of the award," said
John.
"Our success was down to keeping a tight control on balance
sheets, expense controls and using the information we provide to
continually drive performance which results in our market areas
appearing at the top of the profitability leagues across the
Mercedes-Benz retail network."
John continued: "What's more, this superb result is an excellent
base for us to achieve an even higher performance, which will
ensure the stability of our business for the long-term and provide
our customers with the reassurance that they are dealing with a
business that will be looking after their Mercedes-Benz
requirements to a very high standard for many years to come."
