Bibby Financial Services announces team growth in the East Midlands

Leading business finance provider Bibby Financial Services today announced that it has bolstered its commercial team in the East Midlands by appointing Gregor Robson as business development manager for the region.

Reporting to head of sales David Webb and working alongside the existing business development team, Robson will be utilising 20 years' experience within the UK domestic banking sector to further communicate Bibby Financial Services' offering to the industry and secure new business opportunities in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Bucks. He will be based out of the company's operating centre in Leicester which relocated to new premises in July in order to support the continued growth that Bibby Financial Services has enjoyed over the past decade.

Prior to his arrival at Bibby Financial Services, Robson ran his own specialist finance company, sourcing funding for small and medium-sized businesses and assisting with corporate recovery and turnaround. Prior to this Robson worked for Banco Santander, Barclays Corporate and the Royal Bank of Scotland in corporate finance within the East Midlands.

Commenting on his appointment, Robson said: "The recession is proving to be particularly challenging for many businesses. However, it is those that have access to funding which are more likely to survive the recession and take advantage of any business opportunities, minimalising the effect of 'The Liquidity Crunch' and proving that cash is indeed king.

"But despite the problems encountered by the banking industry, invoice finance has remained fairly resilient and small and medium-sized businesses need to understand they can access the funds they need from finance providers such as Bibby Financial Services, which has built an enviable reputation for flexible, tailored invoice finance solutions."

David Webb added: "With more than 20 years experience in the commercial financial banking sector, Gregor has much to offer Bibby Financial Services. His knowledge of the business landscape in the East Midlands will enable him to work closely with firms in the region and understand how Bibby's financial support can help them realise their plans for commercial growth."

Bibby Financial Services is a market-leading specialist in the provision of a range of business cash flow solutions to small and medium sized enterprises.

As the UK's largest independent invoice finance provider Bibby Financial Services currently provides cash flow funding for nearly 3,500 businesses, handles annual client turnover of more than £3.2 billion and advances in the region of £290 million every year to help small and medium-sized firms grow and realise their potential.

As a result of its flexible approach and extensive product range, one in six of all new factoring facilities in the UK in 2009 were supported by Bibby Financial Services. The full range of facilities available include recourse and non-recourse factoring, export factoring, confidential factoring, confidential invoice discounting, construction finance, recruitment finance and trade finance.
