The Boat Inn at Birdingbury near Rugby has changed hands for an
undisclosed sum.
The legal aspects of the deal, including the assignment of the
existing lease, were handled by solicitors Alsters Kelley on behalf
of tenants Paul and Tina Carter. They have built up the popular
pub, which sits next to the Grand Union Canal, over the course of
their tenancy and it counts many boat users, walkers and cyclists
among its clients.
Alsters Kelley partner Geoff Brooke-Taylor dealt with the
commercial aspects of the deal, while colleague Dawn Short looked
after the property issues.
The new tenants are business partners Paul Rugyman and Ian
Bennett. They were represented by Patel and Company solicitors of
Daventry.
Alsters Kelley has offices in Leamington Spa, Coventry and
Nuneaton.
