Companions Ltd with new care manager Su Wilson
A recently formed company providing a range of care services for
adults and the elderly has begun to deliver on its recruitment
plans as announced earlier in March.
Su Wilcox joins Care Companions Ltd as Deputy Care Manager and
will be responsible for supporting the Care Manager with day to day
operations, ensuring the firm's high quality and 'person-centred'
service is consistently delivered. Su's key duties will include
formulating care plans and implementing assessments for clients,
reviewing care packages, developing quality control systems and
training, mentoring and supervising staff.
Care Companions Ltd was set-up by Sushila Patel with the aim of
enabling people to remain independent and living within their own
homes for as long as possible.
Commenting on her new appointment Su said: "In the past I have
been a home care manager and a behavioural care instructor which
have helped me gain the necessary skills for this new role. I
decided to join Care Companions because I could see that the
values, aspirations and the high standards of care which the firm
has are closely aligned with my own beliefs and standards".
Su has worked within the care industry for over 23 years and has
experience in all aspects of care including working with adults and
young people who have mental health, learning difficulties,
challenging behaviour characteristics and autistic spectrum
disorders.
Su's appointment is part of the firm's long-term expansion plans
which include employing three care workers immediately and a
further fifteen carers by the end of the year.
The firm operates from offices located on the High Street in
Sutton Coldfield and offers a variety of care including personal
care, domestic care, companionship and live-in care. It also
provides specialist care for people with dementia and learning
disabilities.
