Alvolution, the division of MedilinkWM dedicated to stimulating the assisted living sector of the healthcare market, has expanded its Birmingham-based team with the hire of Joanne Perry as Demonstrator Business Development Manager.

In the role, Joanne will be responsible for managing the Alvolution Demonstrator House in West Bromwich, which is one of the leading product demonstration facilities in its field, and which elevates product showcasing in Assisted Living to a practical and realistic environment.

Working alongside Alvolution Manager Rob Chesters and Collaboration Manager, Alison Mlot, Joanne's role also involves the development of the Alvolution 'Telehealth Menu', a web-based product directory currently in development by MedilinkWM in partnership with the West Midlands Strategic Health Authority. This on-line demonstration service assists commissioners in health and social care with the selection of Telehealth technologies and is a gateway for them to identify technological devices and provides instant access and unbiased information on the full range of technological products developed for assisted living.

Joanne, who lives in Streetly, Sutton Coldfield, was previously a Manager with a leading Birmingham recruitment firm, where she worked for more than ten years, with a range of public sector, NHS, private sector and further and higher education clients.

Of her new role with Alvolution, she says: "Alvolution is recognised as the foremost demonstrator of technology for the assisted living sector, and is committed to stimulating the next stage in the evolution of technological advances for home-based intelligent healthcare, which is designed to support independent living for those living with long-term health conditions and the elderly, at a time when the UK's aging population continues to rise.

"The Alvolution Demonstrator House illustrates the potential for integrated building intelligence support care in the home and showcases technology which can be procured to support home-based healthcare.

"The role will involve managing tours of the house by end users and commissioners alike, who by visiting the house can view first hand and in-situ the products and sample technologies displayed.

"Furthermore, the Alvolution Telehealth Menu is soon to be rolled-out, and I will work closely with the Alvolution team on delivering technology training on its features and benefits to Primary Care Trusts and Local Authorities across the region and the UK."

For more information, to arrange a visit to the Alvolution Demonstrator House, or learn more about the Telehealth Menu service, contact Joanne Perry Tel: 0121 452 5630 or email: joanne@alvolution.co.uk.

Alvolution is a division of MedilinkWM, one of Europe's leading service providers in the life sciences sector, and is dedicated to the assisted living segment of the UK healthcare market
