Mercedes-Benz of Oxford is inviting local motorists to
experience the brand's pioneering approach to safety with an
exclusive voucher scheme that significantly lowers the cost of
buying child safety seats.
The new initiative sees motorists enjoy a maximum saving of
£250 on Mercedes-Benz child seats as their child grows.
Although produced by Mercedes-Benz and designed with its cars in
mind, the seats can be installed in all vehicles - allowing drivers
to transport their children in a seat that meets the stringent
standards of one of the world's most acclaimed automobile
manufacturers.
All the manufacturer's child seats exceed current regulations
and safety standards and, for Mercedes-Benz owners, there is the
added benefit of the manufacturer's Automatic Child Seat
Recognition (AKSE). AKSE features a transponder in the child seat
to automatically turn the passenger airbag off when it is
recognised as being in the front of a Mercedes-Benz and turns it
back on when the seat is removed. This is unique to Mercedes-Benz
and is not available on any other brand of child seat in the
market.
Mercedes-Benz of Oxford's voucher scheme starts with the
BABY-SAFE child seat, which is suitable for ages up to
approximately 15 months and for weights up to 13kg. At purchase,
customers receive a voucher for £200 towards the next seat in
the range - the DUO plus child seat.
When the voucher is redeemed, the price of the advanced DUO plus
child seat is lowered from £449 to £249. As with the
BABY-SAFE child seat, customers of the DUO plus child seat are
presented with a voucher to use against the next seat in the range
- the KID child seat.
This seat sees children through to the age where they are safe
and legal to use a normal adult seatbelt and a car's standard
seating. The £50 voucher lowers the cost of the KID child
seat to £199.
"It doesn't matter if motorists have a Mercedes-Benz or not,
these seats will provide an excellent level of protection to their
children when they are travelling in a car," said Andrew Loft,
Mercedes-Benz of Oxford's Parts Manager.
"They are exceptionally well made and our voucher scheme means
that a high level of protection doesn't have to come with a high
price. What's more, the initiative gives motorists the
peace-of-mind that as their children grow, so does the safety that
they can enjoy."
