Redditch recruitment agency eResponse has joined partnership
with fellow Worcestershire employment specialists Agility UK, for
the successful launch of their first joint seminar this week.
The two firms hosted a partnered seminar at Agility's head
office in Stoke Prior, in a bid to inform and educate the Midlands
business and HR community on the current employment issues and
laws.
It focused on employment law, particularly how to avoid any
costly mistakes, develop good employment practises and anticipate
employment and workplace issues.
Topics covered included the Equality Bill, Agency Workers
Directive Update, Sick Notes and Transferable Maternity Leave. As
well as, the Right to Request Training, the Government's new rules
on employing foreign workers and an update on the Pensions Act
2008.
Paul Alekna, Managing Director of eResponse, said, "The
partnership with Agility UK is something we are very excited about.
With their knowledge and expertise in the employment law field, we
are able to complement a service that will benefit the whole of the
Midlands business community.
"We agreed to host the seminars after commissioning a number of
market surveys and research, and finding out that employers are
looking for ways to reduce commercial risk, increase productivity
and have better cost controls in place.
"We hope that the seminar has enabled us to help to educate
attendees on certain employment issues by imparting some of our
knowledge."
Following the success of the seminar, eResponse and Agility have
announced two additional seminars, which are set to take place in
Stoke Prior on Wednesday (28th April) and Thursday (29th April)
2010.
They will cover all workplace related issues such as recruiting
and selecting, disciplinary procedures, grievance procedures,
redundancy and drafting contracts and employee handbooks.
eResponse specialise in recruiting for the commercial,
industrial and technical sectors in the Worcestershire and South
Birmingham area.
Jason Morris, Business Unit Manager, at Agility UK, said: "We
were very pleased to be approached by eResponse to join together
for the seminars and to be given the opportunity to help educate
members of the business community."
