Leading Midlands law firm, Flint Bishop, stirred up some
charitable interest amongst its staff by hosting a Coffee and Cake
event that has raised a total of £300 for Derby-based charity
Safe and Sound Derby.
The firm, with offices in both Derby and Ashbourne, hosted the
event in conjunction with the ethically sourced coffee supplier,
Azorieblue Coffee. Azorieblue provided their deluxe Brazilian
coffee blends free of charge whilst Flint Bishop's social committee
supplied a selection of cakes. In return for a donation of
£2, staff received a cup of coffee of their choice and a
cake.
All of the money raised was donated to Safe and Sound Derby, an
organisation that reaches out to children and young adults who are
at risk of or are currently being sexually exploited through
criminal practices.
Commenting on the success of the event, Aaron Marshall, trainee
solicitor and chairman of the Flint Bishop social committee
said:
"We were pleased to work alongside Azorieblue Coffee to raise
funds for such a vital charity. The committee really enjoyed
(providing or making) the cakes and the staff welcomed the
delicious coffee that was supplied."
Adrian Rose from Azorieblue Coffee added: "Azorieblue was
thrilled to work with Flint Bishop to raise money for such a
worthwhile charity. Our motto is that our coffee is 'smoother than
a tiger in a tuxedo!' and the staff at Flint Bishop seemed to
agree."
Phil Smith of Safe and Sound added: "We are grateful to
both Flint Bishop and Azorieblue Coffee for hosting this event and
generously choosing to raise the money for our
organisation."
