A Redditch company is being forced to move for the fourth time by its continuing expansion, which has seen demand for its products soaring.

Praybourne Ltd supplies safety clothing, including thermal and fire retardant underwear and high visibility clothing, to industry and has grown rapidly since its launch by husband and wife team Ian and Tina Jukes in 1983.

The company has purchased a 10,129 sq ft property in Eagle Road North Moons Moat, through Redditch business property consultant John Truslove and is currently refurbishing the whole unit with the aim of opening there in early May.

But in the meantime they are operating from premises in Dunlop Road, Hunt End Industrial Estate, Redditch, which they rented for three years while looking for the right property to buy whilst having to store up to 300 pallets at a time with a third party warehousing company while they wait for their new premises to be ready.

Chairman and managing director Ian Jukes said: "We are now the UK's largest manufacturer and distributor of items like thermal and flame retardant underwear for industry and from the days when we only sold what we manufactured, we now have manufacturing facilities in China, Europe and the UK.

"Our other main line is high visibility clothing which we supply to industries like construction and the railways, but we have a couple of major product launches pending in 2010, hence our urgent need to move into new and bigger premises.

"We will also be creating at least two jobs in the summer to enable us to cope with our expanding order book.

"Down through the years since 1983, we have always bought and sold our properties through John Truslove and we have forged a good business relationship. He understands our business and found us the right premises to buy and refurbish to give us both the office and warehousing space we need."

John Truslove partner Ian Parker said: "It is gratifying to see a Redditch company doing so well and we are delighted that John Truslove has been able to play a part in the firm's success.

"It is always satisfying when we can build long term relationships with our clients as we can grow to understand their needs, which makes the process easier and more cost-effective on both sides."
