In its April auction, Nottingham agent heb will bring 17 lots
under the hammer which will include several residential properties,
a public house and a bit of land on the side.
It has already been a successful year for the Notts-based agent
after finding out earlier this month that it had been named by the
essential Information Group as the best-selling new auction house
in the UK. Of the 33 auction houses which were set up in the UK in
2009, heb topped the list with £9.5m in auction sales.
Matt Hilton, partner at heb and head of auctions, said: "We have
already had a fantastic start to 2010 with the accolade of
best-selling new auctioneers. The February auction was also a huge
success as we made over £2m. We are now looking forward and
anticipate huge interest in the April auction too as there is a
really good variety of lots available.
One lot which is set to cause excitement at the auction on the
20th April, is lot 1, a single building plot with outline planning
permission for a detached house. The land, which is adjacent to
Radcliffe Road in West Bridgford, has a guide price of
£110,000-£125,000.
"I am particularly interested to see how the land available in
West Bridgford will fair," says Matt. "It as it is extremely rare
for this amount of land to be available in such a sought after
area, where planning permission has already been granted for a
relatively large property. I think it will definitely generate a
lot of interest."
Other Nottinghamshire lots include lot 13, The Hermitage public
house in the heart of Sneinton and lot 14, Wedgwood House on
Carlton Road in the city.
"Wedgwood House is a particularly large office building and has
great potential for investors. It is in a prominent location and is
very close to the city centre," says Matt.
Other lots include six residential properties at locations
across the city and a residential development site at St James
Street in Arnold. There is also a lock-up shop with living
accommodation above on Nottingham Road in Ilkeston, with a ground
floor area of 387sq ft.
The heb auction will take place on 20 April 2010 at Nottingham
Belfry Hotel, Mellors Way, Nottingham at 2.30pm. For more
