The internal audit division of chartered accountants Clement
Keys has won the contract to provide internal audit services to the
Peak District National Park.
The contract was won following a competitive pitch and is the
first national park account for the department which has
established itself as a leading player within the public, private
and third sectors.
Clement Keys Director of Internal Audit Lee Glover believes that
their unique approach, which focuses on adding value and maximising
opportunities for improving benefits, was a key factor in their
success.
Lee comments: "All public sector organisations are under
pressure to maintain the quality of service levels whilst dealing
with reduced funding. Clement Keys internal audit is a strategic
service that facilitates the re-engineering of the organisation's
approach to the internal audit process.
"We are delighted to add the Peak District National Park to our
portfolio of clients. It demonstrates our ability to apply the
benefits of our robust service to any public sector, charity or not
for profit organisation."
The Peak District National Park was Britain's first national
park, established in 1951. It covers 555 square miles of
Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and South
and West Yorkshire. It has an estimated 22 million visitors per
year making it the second most-visited national park in the world
(after the Mount Fuji National Park in Japan).
