A Stourbridge-based maintenance company has been awarded a new
12 month contract to maintain 39 stores belonging to the food giant
Waitrose.
Kershaw Mechanical Services will be maintaining the mechanical
services systems for the stores.
Last year it was awarded a twelve month contract for 33
stores.
In a separate deal, the company recently announced it will be
installing full mechanical for three Waitrose stores that are being
refurbished or constructed.
"We have a strong partnership with Waitrose and this new
contract shows the trust they have in our service and work," said
Gary Smith, the managing director of Kershaw Mechanical
Services.
"In many cases we are maintaining the same systems we have
installed. It's an arrangement that works well for both Waitrose
and us."
Kershaw Mechanical Services operates a 24 hour maintenance
service from its bases in Stourbridge and Cambridge.
It is the lead company of the successful Kershaw Group, which
employs around 200 people.
