Midlands based businesses prepare to do battle

With only four weeks to go, 26 Nottingham businesses have already signed up to take part in Fraser Brown's annual football tournament in April, raising hopes that this year's event will make more than £5,000 for children's charity When You Wish Upon a Star.

There are now just a few places left and anyone interested in getting involved is urged to contact the organisers sooner rather than later. The Tournament is being held on April 15 and promises to be full of action and drama, with teams battling hard to beat last year's winners, RSM Tenon.

As well as those that entered last year, firms from across the city have pledged their support, either on or off the pitch.

Cumin Indian Restaurant will be providing all the food at the event. Manager Shelley Anand said, "We are delighted to be able to support Fraser Brown's charity tournament once again. It is an enjoyable evening and the money raised will go to a very good cause."

Graham Green, Senior Partner at Fraser Brown, said, "The tournament may be competitive but it's played in a sporting manner and provides the perfect opportunity to get into the football spirit before the big games of the summer. The evening is a great chance to network and catch up with old contacts, not to mention raise plenty of money for a worthy charity."

When You Wish Upon a Star is Fraser Brown's nominated charity for the financial year. Their primary aim is to grant the wishes of children between the ages of 2 - 16 years old suffering from life threatening illnesses. The children's wishes can range from toys and books to visiting Disneyland and meeting their favourite pop idols.

The football tournament is being held at The University of Nottingham's Sports Centre on 15 April, where the games will kick off at 6.15pm. Entrance fees are £150 per 8-man team, which includes an Indian buffet provided by Cumin Indian Restaurant and drinks for the players. Supporters of the teams are also welcome. To enrol a team please contact organiser John Tansur on 0115 9888 777 or email jtansur@fraserbrown.com.
