A Midlands commercial property complex has sold its final unit -
less than three years after construction finished.
Si-Plan Electronic Research has bought the last unit at the The
Waterways at Stratford-upon-Avon as an investment.
A total of 11 units have been taken by firms including Sims
Garden Machinery, Jetex Exhausts, athletics retailer Simply Run and
First Direct Cleaning.
Marketed by chartered surveyors Bigwood, the Deeley & Henley
Estates development was completed in August 2007.
"There was a keen interest in it from the start," said James
Ironmonger of Bigwood's commercial agency department.
"There is a demand for commercial freehold premises in Stratford
and it is rare that an opportunity like this presents itself. There
is a lack of good quality new build industrial premises in the
area."
Alan Jones, managing director of Jetex, said: "We have been here
more than 12 months and we are very pleased that all the units are
now sold."
A total of 26,697 sq ft was available with units from 189 sq
m.
