Specialist software created by a leading-edge Solihull company
is enabling thousands of users across the globe to improve their
operational performance - with help from UK Trade &
Investment.
Dynistics, of Blythe Valley Park, has pioneered the development
of Active Dashboards, an innovative graphical software reporting
solution for any organisation that needs a real-time view of its
critical activities.
Established in 2000, the company has a broad UK client base
ranging from NHS trusts and hospitals, universities, law firms and
colleges through to SMEs and household name companies.
Thanks to support from UK Trade & Investment, Dynistics'
software is now being used by organisations in the USA, Canada,
mainland Europe and the Far East through its newly established
software distribution network.
Managing director Anthony Dent said: "Having completed UK Trade
& Investment's Passport programme, we have seen a fantastic
response and are actively recruiting extra employees to deal with
the demand from overseas markets.
"Since we signed our first distribution deal last year, our
software is now licensed by many end user organisations across the
globe and used by thousands of people worldwide. The distribution
deal could provide significant additional revenues and has enabled
us to establish a model for exporting that we can replicate in
other countries.
"We are now seeking partnerships with software distributors in
Europe and other parts of the globe.
"The support from UK Trade & Investment through our
international trade adviser, Jonathan Webber, has been superb.
Jonathan has been really proactive, making lots of useful
suggestions and some great introductions.
"In addition, Hari Rai from UK Trade & Investment's
IntaTrade service assisted us in obtaining appropriate legal advice
to protect our Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). He also
suggested we were eligible to reclaim research and development tax
credits from HM Revenue and Customs - resulting in us being able to
recover some of our expenditure on product development."
Jonathan Webber, director of international trade at Birmingham
Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: "UK Trade & Investment
offers fabulous opportunities to develop and increase your
international trade. It doesn't matter whether you are a novice
exporter or well versed in overseas markets - UK Trade &
Investment can make a genuine, supported difference."
UK Trade & Investment's flagship Passport programme gives
promising new exporters the training, planning and ongoing support
they need to succeed overseas.
Through Passport, Dynistics has benefited from a package of
support, including a free export health check, attendance at an
export workshop, assistance in formulating an international trade
strategy and matched funding to help implement this strategy,
quality training and mentoring advice and access to the full range
of UK Trade & Investment services.
