From a pool of over 160 East Midlands businesses, Worksop-based
outsourcing specialist DDC Outsourcing Solutions has been announced
as one of seven finalists for the prestigious High Growth East
Midlands Awards 2010, taking place this Thursday (11th).
The awards, created by the East Midlands Development Agency
(EMDA) recognise the most successful candidates of its flagship
business support programme, HighGrowth East Midlands. Applicants
went through an extensive assessment process - scrutinised by an
independent panel of judges in areas such as leadership and
business commitment, innovation and demonstration of growth.
DDC Outsourcing Solutions specialises in business process
outsourcing, including data capture and contact centre services.
Amongst other things, EMDA funding has allowed the company to
employ a PR consultancy to raise its profile within a range of key
industries.
Managing Director Colin Gray said: "We now have a clear
direction for the company which has driven our confidence and
increased belief that our growth ambitions are extremely
achievable.
"Raising our profile and creating awareness of what we offer is
one of the cornerstones of growing our business, and with support
from EMDA I feel we are now well on our way. There is no growth in
being an undiscovered expert. I believe in what we have to offer
and telling the world about it will help us grow the business and
create new jobs in Worksop along the way."
Colin and his colleagues now face a nail biting few weeks in
anticipation of the awards ceremony at the Nottingham Belfry on 11
March.
HighGrowth East Midlands comprises two programmes: Growth
Readiness and High Growth. The programme is designed to increase
profits, enhance competitiveness and create the conditions for
long-term success.
John O'Reilly, EMDA's Business Support Director, said:
"HighGrowth East Midlands represents some of the region's shining
stars, and we are pleased to take this opportunity to celebrate
their achievements. Designed to help East Midlands businesses
achieve their full potential and to create long term wealth and
jobs, HighGrowth East Midlands is helping EMDA achieve its strategy
of creating a flourishing region."
In addition to High Growth, businesses are fighting it out in
two other categories; namely Growth Readiness and Business of the
Year.
All companies which took part in the Growth Readiness and High
Growth programmes during 2009 were eligible to enter the
awards.
