Firms in the Midlands with connections to the rail industry are
being urged to attend a key event in the region.
More than 100 companies in Coventry and Warwickshire alone
supply the rail sector and they are being advised to go to a 'meet
the buyer' event at the Infra Rail show at the NEC on April 14 in a
bid to land new overseas deals.
The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce is working in
conjunction with UKTI and Advantage West Midlands to help
drive local companies to the session which will see buyers from
Europe and the Far East looking to find partners and suppliers in
the UK.
Representatives from Spain, Hong Kong, Turkey and Hungary have
already confirmed their attendance with more expected to
follow.
Malcolm Vaughan, of the Chamber's International Trade Team,
said: "The rail sector is very important to Coventry and
Warwickshire and this event is an ideal opportunity for companies
in the industry.
"To be given the chance to meet buyers from across the world and
get the opportunity to highlight your company's products and
services is one that really shouldn't be missed.
"The more business and investment we can drive to local
companies in this sector, the better it will be for everyone."
The Infra Rail show runs from April 13 to April 15.
