Employees from Leicester based heating and pipeline supplier BSS
Industrial have successfully completed a whopping 350 fundraising
activities for Rainbow Trust over the last year.
Staff have cycled, walked and run a combined 756 miles and
completed hundreds of other daring feats to raise a grand total of
£158,481.19 for the charity which supports families with
children facing a life threatening illness.
BSS Industrial held an employee vote to continue to support
Rainbow Trust in 2010, making it the fourth year running that they
have teamed up to help provide respite care for families in need.
BSS Industrial has taken on any challenge (from walking on hot
coals, to recycling and cycling from London to Paris) the spirit of
which they plan to continue in 2010.
Frank Elkins, Managing Director of BSS Industrial, said: "Our
employees have achieved some fantastic results for Rainbow Trust
these past three years and we are thrilled to be able to continue
our support of a charity which makes a big difference to the lives
of families going through the worst experience imaginable. With
such a worthy cause, I'm sure our staff here in Leicester and at
our branches nationwide will continue to go the extra mile to raise
further funds."
Rainbow Trust Children's Charity provides practical and
emotional support to families with children who have a life
threatening or terminal illness. Louise Bingham, Corporate
Partnership Executive at Rainbow Trust said: "We are delighted to
receive the support of BSS Industrial for the fourth year and we
are thrilled it was at the choice of the staff. Rainbow couldn't
have imagined how fantastic responses would be from BSS branches up
and down the country. I would like to extend my thanks to BSS and
here's to another amazing 12 months of fundraising antics!"
