The Property Market in 2010 - where are we now? This was
the question posed by Talbots Solicitors at their 6th annual
property forum, held at Stone Manor Hotel, Kidderminster, for over
70 professionals from the world of property, including agents,
valuers, mortgage brokers and their own legal sector.
Guest speakers at the event included an A list line-up from the
world of property:-
Peter Bolton King, Group Chief Executive of the National
Federation of Property Professionals, discussed the impact of the
economic climate on the UK property market and gave some
encouragement on how he believed it would develop over the course
of the next twelve months and beyond.
Neil Hoare, Sales & Marketing Director of The Pink Group -
one of the UK's largest mortgage and insurance distributors -
explained his views on the reasons for the debt in the mortgage
market, irresponsible borrowing, constraints that were being
imposed and the innovative ways in which lenders are looking to
assist property buyers. He explained that the average age of the
first time buyer today is 38!
Richard Rawlings of Estate Agency Insight is one of the UK's top
estate agency trainers and marketing experts. Something of a guru
in the industry, Richard provided the audience with some useful
tips on recognizing the needs of the public and how best to serve
them.
Martyn Morgan, Senior Partner at Talbots and heads up the
Residential Property Team, commented "the quality of the speakers
and the turnout confirmed this as our most successful property
seminar to date and provided everyone with some light at the end of
the tunnel, although we all appreciate we have some way to go to
return to the heady days of 2007 and before."
