Twenty Accounting and Finance students at The University of
Northampton have been rewarded for their hard work at a prestigious
ceremony by Northampton Business School.
The annual ceremony, organised by Divisional Leader Christopher
Cook, awarded a number of cheque prizes to the students. The prizes
were sponsored by BPP, PQ Magazine, McIntyre Hudson, Leicester and
Northamptonshire Society of Chartered Accountants (LANSCA),
Hawsons, Nationwide Building Society, Grant Thornton, Northampton
Business School and the University's Alumni Association.
Elliott Hannant, winner of the Year 3 Advanced Accounting and
Theory Practice award, commented: "This event not only
recognises and praises the hard work and academic success of myself
and fellow students, it also increases the reputation of the
University amongst regional and national businesses. It provides a
unique opportunity to meet business leaders from the area - an
opening that one can use to build career developing contacts."
Northampton Business School was pleased to welcome Rosie Smith
from the Bank of England, as guest speaker for the ceremony. Rosie
commented: "I'm delighted to be involved in this event; it is
great to see The University of Northampton's students being
rewarded for all their hard work and success."
