Businessmen and women looking to grow in 2010 are being offered
a welcome to meet members of Dudley and District Business Club in
an Open Meeting this month (Feb).
Members have arranged the informal meeting at 7pm on Tuesday
February 16, at Hagley Golf Club, Wassell Grove Lane , Hagley, and
are inviting new businesses to join them to try it for
themselves.
Stuart Price, chairman of Dudley and District Business Club,
said: "Businesses need to network effectively to win new orders,
and we share our experiences to help others grow their
efficiency, to encourage slow payers to speed up, and expand their
client base.

speaking at Dudley and District Business Club
"Visitors to the club are particularly welcome, to meet others
who are like-minded and positive.
"Our event in February is "famous for 60 seconds" networking,
with all of the attendees given chance to tell us about them
and their business before then peeling off to engage in a more
detailed meeting later on."
The club also advises those starting in business, from people
who have succeeded. The club is also supporting Stourbridge, Dudley
and District branch of the Diabetic Society, as its Charity of the
Year, raising £500 for them in a raffle.
Guru Shaun Philpott, of Steps for Success, Wolverhampton , told
business owners at January's meeting of his 'Top Ten' tips for
closing deals on new business.
He showed how to succeed through developing strategies for
maximizing business - from existing clients. This included
identifying current 'Class A' clients who gave most value with
minimal problems, to adroit use of social media sites, to help
target a 'hot list' of target customers.
The club, membership just £25 a year, meets the third
Tuesday of each month, for networking. A small charge is made, and
booking is essential via www.ddbc.co.uk
