Businesses in Coventry and Warwickshire looking to grow their
business after the recession will be able to pick up advice on a
range of issues - including accessing funding - at an event next
month.
The Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce is holding a
Business Support & Networking Open Day at its Oak Tree
Conference Centre in Binley on Tuesday, March 16, from 10am until
4pm.
Free of charge to all businesses, it will feature advice and
information on how to access available funds and business support
services for growth; and the chance to meet new contacts and
promote the business to a wider audience.
Chamber operations director Dianne Williams said: "Although
figures out in January showed the recession is over, there is still
much uncertainty in the economy and recovery is expected to be
slow.
"The Chamber is keen to help local businesses take advantage of
every available opportunity to grow. The day will be packed with
seminars and information from organisations with expertise in a
wide range of fields.
"There will be seminars running throughout the day by the
Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), ACAS, Chamber HR and Health
& Safety, Inward Investment, and UK Trade & Investment and
will include topics on Business Recovery, Fit for Work Notes,
Benefits of Apprentices, Employment Legislation, Exporting &
Trading Abroad, plus a range of other subjects."
Dianne added: "It is great to have so many organisations in the
same room all offering help and support to business. Our weathering
the storm events during the recession proved a major help for local
firms and this event will lend support to those who are struggling
and helping those seeking to grow."
"All businesses are welcome - you don't need to be a Chamber
member - just drop in, speak to advisers, attend seminars or just
network over lunch. It's all free."
